Somewhere
behind the Iron Curtain in the 1960's, the Hollander family causes an
international incident when Walter Hollander, a caterer from New
Jersey, takes a photograph of a sunset and is accused of spying. The
family takes refuge in the American Embassy, which is temporarily being
run by the Ambassador's son--a man so incompetent that he's been thrown
out of every conntry he's ever been in--and even a few continents.
Throw in a priest who believes he's a great magician, an ill-tempered
chef, and the Hollander's beautiful daughter, and the stage is set for
an evening of zany comedy as only Woody Allen can do it.
Don't Drink
the Water is intended for mature audiences.
